« Sophie is an amazing doula.
A doula who is always there when you need her,
she knows how to find the right words and support you,
while letting you choose your own path. »
Hi there! I’m Sophie
I’m a French birth & post partum doula based in Bordeaux (Pessac). After 10 years abroad, I’m now back in France supporting women and families in this beautiful (though intense) journey to becoming a parent. I’m myself mum of 3 little ones and a hypnosis practitioner. You can go to this page if you wanna know more about me and my personal journey. À très bientôt !
My doula philosophy
Choosing a birth/ post partum doula is a choice from the Heart.
It doesn’t matter where you come from, how you live
or what you’ve been through in your life.
I’m offering you a safe space where you can express yourself freely,
without fearing judgment and in total confidentiality.
This space of yours is precious, unique and sacred.

FAQs

Do you only work in the Bordeaux area?
I’m based in Pessac, beside Bordeaux, yep. But I can also work with you online via Zoom/GoogleMeet, phone, etc. if you’re living in another area (or country!) I’ve been an expat myself for about 10 years so I understand the challenge it must be for you to navigate pregnancy and birth away from your home references. Contact me if you’d like to discuss this together!
Can I do the prenatal sessions at home?
I usually give priority to emergencies (ongoing birth, expectant mothers with medical condition, etc.) and postnatal sessions for home visits. We can always talk about it but keep in mind that I can always welcome you in Pessac (33) in a private and dedicated place.
For home sessions, I usually drive/ride to: Pessac, Bordeaux, Caudéran, Mérignac, Talence, Gradignan, Canéjan, Cestas, Villenave d’Ornon, Léognan, etc.
But again, feel free to book your FREE consultation call to discuss this together 😉
Can I pay in installments?
Most women and couples I work with pay after each session. We can certainly discuss it and make sure we find a solution that suits everyone.
Do I need to be ‘spiritual’ or practice meditation, hypnosis, etc. before working with you?
I welcome you just as you are. Without assuming anything.
We are all on a journey, different paths. You don’t « have to » do anything or be XYZ.
I just encourage you to be open and commited to yourself and your transformative experience into motherhood / parenthood.

Important : A doula is not a healthcare professional. I do not make any diagnoses, prescribe medication, or provide care instructions. I also do not offer the official « childbirth preparation classes » as your healthcare provider does. My support is complementary and not reimbursed by the CPAM. I also allow myself the right to refuse a partnership that may not serve the best interests of all parties involved.
